An architect should be available on-site to answer questions and provide additional information on issues that arise. During this phase, it is not uncommon that some additional services for the architect appear due to change orders. Visting building sites to assess the progress of works and being involved in managing the contracts is a very important part of delivering the project. I have an understanding of administrating the contract and its relations between parties, their duties and responsibilities. I assisted in the duties of the Contract Administrator such as issuing valuations, updating variations order and making sure everything on-site is built according to the drawings. The architect is needed to access works that had been carried out. They are a very important part of a building contract to be impartial for the parties and to perform duties in a fair and reasonable manner towards both parties.
